Easy Italian Beef

Ok I think Leanne was wanting a recipe for this, you might already have one, but I wanted to share just in case.
What you will need:
Chuck Roast (I bought a 5 lb roast)
A jar of Banana Peppers
A bottle of wishbone Italian Dressing
Mozzarella Cheese slices
Hoagie buns

I cook my roast in the crock pot on low over night so it will be really tender and easy to pull a part. I start it just before I go to bed. By Morning it should be ready to pull a part. I use two forks and just pull it until it is shredded picking out any of the fat that may be on it. Then pour all the juice from the banana peppers into the crock pot and add a few of the peppers. Then add your Italian dressing to taste I use about a third of a large bottle. Let it cook on low for about 2 or 3 hours and its done! ( you could start it first thing in the morning but Shane is on second shift so I guess that is why I do it over night too. We try to do meals like that so he can eat before he goes in.) We like to add a few peppers to the top.

This is a picture of mine....wheat bun no chips.

This is Shane's on a hoagie bun and with chips.

This sounds easy! Do you just cover the roast in water in the crock pot? I need to try this.

Looks yummy! I did get an Italian Beef recipe from my Aunt Missy but this ones doesn't seem to call for as many ingredients as the recipe I used.

Mine calls for a rump roast, beef bullion cubes, fresh onion or onion flakes, garlic salt, italian seasoning. Serve with cheese and rolls of your choice. Once I got the right seasonings it was easy to put together.

I posted mine on my blog in February if anyone wants it.

Thanks for another crock pot recipe. I am always looking for things that cook by themselves! You all know that cooking with a toddler isn't always the easiest thing.

Other Brandy, the first time I made my Italian Beef we flooded it. Thinking we had to fully cover this huge roast. The next time we only put the water about half way up the roast. What about you Brandy?

I don't add any water I just let it cook in its own juices. I do keep it covered though and it never sticks or anything and it is so juicy I guess with adding the dressing and pepper juice makes it just right!
