So many times we forget the meaning of Easter and worry about how are eggs are going to look and if everyone is in their Sunday best. But do we really sit and think what Jesus really did for us and how we do him? Would we do what he did for us? Can you imagine what Mary had to go through when Jesus was hung on the cross. Just think how it would feel if someone was making fun of our child and/or physically hurting him/her. It would hurt so bad and we would want to protect our child the best we could, be talking to the school or parent of the child that was hurting them taking matters into our own hands. But Mary couldn't stop it she could just watch. How helpless that must have made her feel. I am sure she felt so much pain to watch what went on and the heart ache that she had because she was so helpless.
Here is a new song from Brad Paisley and Sara Evans that I hope touches you as it did me.
Here are the words....
Mother - do not cry for me
All of this is exactly how it's supposed to be
I'm right here. Can you hear my voice?
My life, my love, my Lord....my baby boy
As they nail me to this tree
Just know my Father waits for me
God how can this be your will?
To have your son and my son killed?
Whatever happens...whatever you see...
Whatever your eyes tell you has become of me
This is not...
Not the end...
I am making all things new again
I remember when you were born
In that manger where I first held
You in my arms
So many miracles and lives you've changed
And this world repays you how?
With all this pain

Is this a new song or on the Passion of the Christ soundtrack? It was very moving & so great for you to share!
Not sure I haven't watched that movie not sure if I want to or I do. I found it searching on you tube and it was titled New Again 2.0. It says this...the movie sceanes are from a passion of christ by mel gibson but it doesn't say if it is from the movie. So not sure if it is or not.
Yes, the scenes are from the movie. I just didn't know if it was a new song, actually on the radio now.
Hey Brandy I just done some research and it is from the movie. Thought it was new guess it is to power for the radio. Here is the link that I seen it on. http://www.christianitytoday.com/music/reviews/2004/passionofthechristsongs.html

Thanks for sharing Brandy. So very true that we sometimes forget the true meaning of Easter and get caught up in the commercial side.
